• Any kind of materials (wood, plastic, metal, glass, lighting devices...), any field, to be freely inspired by materials.

matériO was created in 2000 by a young French team, curious about science, industry, materials, design and innovation. Launched thanks to a Santa Claus sponsor (Yvon Poullain), matériO is above all a technology watch service, selecting specific, atypical and innovative materials. It is dedicated to architects, designers and any creative professionals. Our teams constantly identifies materials all over the world, in complete independence toward their manufacturers. Once selected, manufacturers are invited to send us samples in order for our members to be able to see and touch the materials in our physical material libraries (today in Paris, Bruxelles, Prague and Bratislava). 
Backed up since 2012 by a talented team of open-source developers, matériO also offers a simple and direct multilingual website, daily enriched with new references and new functionalities... An opportunity to make discoveries everyday!

matériO is your innovation AND inspiration tool. We believe that innovation may come from meeting new materials, just when you feel like it or when in search for a specific project. Roam in our database and/or our showrooms... it will be surprising and fertile.

As the key word is decompartmentalization of industrial fields, many international companies with very varied business cores do use our service.
